McKee appoints interim Housing secretary

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has appointed Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) Chief of Staff Daniel Connors as the interim secretary of Housing.

Connors has worked in Rhode Island government for 15 years and is not being considered for the permanent secretary position.

He will return to his Chief of Staff role at EOHHS once a permanent secretary is appointed.

The McKee administration will be conducting interviews with local candidates for the secretary position in the coming weeks and will turn to a national search if necessary.
