Road sealing treatment in Narragansett delayed until after Labor Day

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Narragansett Department of Public Works said that road sealing treatments that were scheduled to take place during the summer have been delayed to after Labor Day.

The department said that Comer Contracting, the company hired to perform the work, told the town that heat and traffic volume are delaying the application of fog sealing to the roads.

The department added that the dates will be decided and announced once “weather conditions [become] favorable.”
