Lifespan, RI Hospitals to continue urgent surgeries and procedures during outage

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — All Lifespan Health Systems are experiencing downtime due a global IT issue, according to a representative.

In a statement, Lifespan said that their hospitals will continue to perform all urgent procedures and will monitor the situation for non-urgent procedures.

Patients will be contacted if there are changes to their scheduled appointments or procedures, they said.
