GoFundMe started for Attleboro man who died in Rutland jet ski accident

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Family and friends of a man who died after jet skiing in a Rutland Pond have started a GoFundMe for funeral expenses.

46-year-old Thanasi Mitros died on Sunday after he disappeared under the water after his jet ski had turned over.

In a GoFundMe posted by a loved one, Shannon Delaney, Delaney wrote that Mitros died doing what he loved – which was being on the water.

“He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them,” stated the GoFundMe.

Expenses will go toward his wife Jen he leaves behind, and anticipated funeral expenses.

So far the GoFundMe has raised over $4,500.

His service will be held on July 30.
