Resident describes gruesome crash scene in Easton
EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Easton residents said they are shaken up after a gruesome crash.
A resident on Prospect Street told ABC 6 he heard the screams of the teen involved in a horrific motorbike accident late Tuesday night.
The man said he first thought the screaming was a fight at the intersection of Prospect Street and Heath Road before he realized an SUV had collided with a bike.
He says he then saw a fire and realized the victim was missing part of his leg.
Police at the scene said a 19-year-old on the motorbike was med-flighted to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.
A longtime resident of the area said he’s not surprised the crash took place at that intersection.
“The kids do ride dirt bikes,” Lloyd Douglas, a resident of Prospect Street, said. “I was surprised that it was as late as it was, cause I think it was around 9:00…I’ve had people hit the wall, because of speed? Probably.”
Police said Tuesday night the driver of the SUV was not injured, but would not comment on whether or not they would be cited.
ABC 6 has reached out to Easton police multiple times for additional details on the crash and the status of the victim.
Detectives are asking for any home surveillance video of the moments leading up to the crash but still have not released any additional information as of Thursday night.
