Parking restrictions ahead of Newport Folk Festival

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The town of Jamestown is enforcing temporary parking restrictions today ahead of Newport Folk Festival.

The festival will run from today until Sunday, July 28.

The restrictions will start at 7 a.m. and run until Monday, July 29 at 7 a.m. along Union Street, Lincoln Street, Friendship Street, and Brook Street.

Parking will be prohibited on the south side of these streets during this period.

The parking restrictions are to ensure emergency vehicle access during emergencies.
