2 families displaced after fire in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — Two families are displaced after a fire on Batterson Avenue in Westerly.

The call came in around 6 a.m.

According to officials, the start of the fire was due to an electrical fire in the kitchen ceiling.

There was very little extension, said Fire Chief John Mackay.

No additional details were released at this time.
