Fall River Police arrest man after making threats with hammer

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said a man was arrested at Cardinal Medeiros Towers after making verbal threats to multiple people on July 27.

50-year-old Sean Dacosta was charged with disturbing the peace, terroristic threats, carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct.

Police responded to the area around 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a man wielding a hammer and making threats.

Witnesses also alleged that the suspect threatened to shooting multiple people, but police found no gun in his possession.

Dacosta cooperated with police and was taken into custody.
