Tropical humidity returns
Low pressure moving into the Gulf of Maine this evening will allow most of the shower activity from earlier today to come to an end overnight. Low temperatures will remain on the warm side tonight, around 70°, as the humidity levels begin to creep up again.
Tropical dewpoints (70°+) will return for this week and air temperatures will be climbing into the upper 80s for the second half of the week and into the weekend.
Southern New England resides between Low Pressure centers on Tuesday so the day will be mostly, if not entirely, dry with breaks of sunshine. There will only be an isolated shower around in the morning.
Another Low swings across the region late Tuesday night through Wednesday. This causes more widespread showers and isolated thundershowers, so Wednesday will be the wettest day as the humidity also becomes quite elevated.
Thursday is trending dry at this time. Friday will be also be rain-free, but hot and humid conditions are set for both days.
