Rat poison discovered on fences of Vintage Pet Rescue

FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) — A local pet rescue found rat poison in their yard this morning, and one dog had to be taken to the veterinarian.
Vintage Pet Rescue of Foster reported on their Facebook page this afternoon that they discovered multiple pieces of rat poison along their fence.
The pet rescue believes whoever put the pieces on the fence did so with the intention the pieces would fall into the yard for the dogs to eat.
One of the dogs, Bug, ate a large piece of the rat poison and had to be taken to the veterinarian said Vintage Pet Rescue.
Bug will be ok the pet rescue said, but he will need medication for the next three weeks.
“I can’t put into words how upset we are over this,” said Vintage Pet Rescue. “Who would do this to a senior dog rescue? We’re honestly blown away by this level of evil.”
Vintage Pet Rescue said they have filed a police report in hopes of finding the culprit.
