RIDOH recommends closing six swimming areas in four towns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Public Health recommended the closing of six swimming areas due to high bacteria counts today.
Three of the six are in Warwick, including Conimicut Beach, Oakland Beach and the swimming area at City Park.
Bristol Town Beach, Warren Town Beach, and Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth also were recommended to be closed.
RIDOH says they will continue to monitor and review water quality through Labor Day.
