Mansfield Police searching for stabbing suspect

MANSFIELD , Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department said that it is currently attempting to locate the suspect in a stabbing that caused a shelter-in-place order to be issued.
Edward Curtis Riboul is currently wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery of a household/family member.
Police responded to a home on Pine Needle Lane around 11 p.m. on July 30 for reports of a man being attacked and stabbed.
When police arrived the victim told them that the attack occurred as he was exiting his vehicle and was allegedly done by his stepson, Riboul.
Police said they established a “large perimeter” and conducted a grid search using drones, as well as issuing a shelter-in-place order around 2 a.m.
Officers conducted a search for three hours before giving the all-clear.
Police said that anyone who may know the whereabouts of Riboul should not approach him and either call 911 or the department at 508-261-7301 ext. 61348.
Riboul is described as a black male, 23 years of age, 6-feet-1-inch in height and approx. 180 pounds, wearing all black clothing.
