Hot and Humid Through Friday

Thursday brings the heat back to Southern New England. With mostly sunny skies, temperatures will come up really quickly and will top in the lower-90s inland and the lower-80s along the coast. This heat combined with the high humidity will make it feel well into the 90s. As a result, folks who are sensitive to high heat and humidity are more suceptible to heat-related illness, such as young children and the elderly. Friday will be pretty much the same with the high heat and humidity with the addition of a chance of late day showers and thunderstorms. The weekend will continue being oppressively humid with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of showers. Temperatures will be cooler in the 80s both days. Monday will be mostly sunny and humid with a chance of a late day shower. Comfortable humidity and plenty of sunshine return for Tuesday.
