The Heat is ON… Again!

After a steamy Thursday, we have one more hot and humid day to go. Friday finishes the week with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower-90s and with the humidity will feel as hot as 96. As a result, a Heat Advisory is in effect through 7pm Friday. Helpful tips include drinking plenty of water, stay out of the sun, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, limit strenuous outdoor activities to early morning or late evening, take frequent beaks in the shade or seek out air conditioning and please check in on your elderly friends and relatives. Don’t forget your pets in this heat too and never leave your furry friends in the car in this heat for any length of time. The weekend will be cooler but still very muggy. Both Saturday and Sunday will top out in the 80s and be mainly cloudy with a chance of showers and possible isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Monday is looking mostly sunny, hot and humid with a high of 88. Tuesday is the day the humidity breaks and temps drop for the end of the week.
