Man wanted for felony assault arrested after search in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bellingham Police Department said a 33-year-old from Connecticut was arrested after a search.
The department said the Southborough Police Department sent them information about a suspect wanted for felony assault who was potentially in the area.
A Bellingham officer then found the suspect operating a stolen vehicle, who then fled first by driving and then on foot.
The department began a search in the area of Crooks Corner that included K-9 officers, drones, and a helicopter, and also advised the public to keep an eye out for the subject and to stay indoors.
The suspect was then taken into custody and was charged with reckless operation, failure to stop for police, and disorderly conduct.
He was also transported to Southborough for the charges he is facing there.
