Massachusetts RMV accepting low number plate applications

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles said that it will be accepting applications for the 2024 Low Number Plate Lottery through Aug. 16 at 5 p.m.

The RMV said that there are 298 plates available through the lottery, which will be held on Sept. 10.

Winners will be notified by mail if they are selected for a low number plate.

There is also a special plate fee that will be required if selected in addition to a standard registration fee.
