Mansfield man dies after crash in Wrentham

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said a Mansfield man died after a crash on Aug. 2.

The crash occurred on Route 1 in Wrentham around 5:30 p.m.

Police said a car attempted to make an abrupt U-turn from the center lane when another vehicle struck the driver’s side.

The driver of the car that attempted the turn was a 50-year-old who was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced dead.

The other driver was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
