One injured after stabbing in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Officials are investigating a stabbing that happened early Sunday morning in New Bedford.

According to police, units arrived to find the victim on Dean Street around 1 a.m.

It was soon discovered that the incident had taken place in the Sid Wainer parking lot.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police are actively investigating the incident.
