FALMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) —  Town of Falmouth officials said they observed what appeared to be wind turbine debris washed up at four different beaches on Tuesday.

The beaches are Black Beach, Chapoquoit Beach, Woodneck Beach and Old Silver Beach.

The town is actively monitoring the situation and are taking action to remove the debris, according to a release.

Vineyard Wind is sending cleanup crews today to start removing the debris and will be covering the cost of the cleanup. The company has had debris pop up in multiple locations after last month’s incident where a wind turbine was damaged, causing debris to go into the ocean along the south coast of Massachusetts.

Vineyard Wind has a telephone hotline for the public to report debris. You can reach them at 833-609-5768.
