RIDOH recommends swimmers avoid several water bodies

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health said that swimmers should avoid three bodies of water in South Kingstown and Warwick.

The swimming areas at Kent County YMCA in Warwick, as well as at Kingston’s Camp, and Camp Hoffman in South Kingstown, should be avoided by swimmers due to high bacteria counts.

RIDOH also recommended closing the swimming area at Lincoln Woods State Park on Aug. 7.

A full list of closed beaches in the state can be found here.
