Wareham police arrest three in stolen vehicle stop

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Wareham police arrested three individuals Sunday on Onset Avenue on stolen vehicle and firearms charges.

Officers responded to calls of a suspicious vehicle on Onset Avenue at approximately 7:55 p.m. and learned that vehicle was stolen.

Police found three males associated with the vehicle and two of them fled on foot.

After a brief pursuit all three were placed in custody and a handgun was recovered from the vehicle.

Rodney Jette, 23, of New Bedford, was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition, carrying a firearm without a license, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Davon Hudson, 29, of New Bedford, was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition, carrying a firearm without a license and improper storage of a large capacity firearm.

A 17-year-old juvenile from Fall River was charged with was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition, carrying a firearm without a license, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Jette and Hudson will be arraigned Monday at Wareham 4th District Court and the juvenile will arraigned Monday at Brockton Juvenile Court.
