RISP invites public comment for accreditation process

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island State Police (RISP) is inviting members of the public to provide comment as part of their accreditation process.

Comments are asked to address the ability of the state police to comply with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) standards.

The comments can be commendations or concerns according to CALEA, and the intent of the accreditation process is to provide information to RISP to support improvement.
