Helado Taiyaki to close in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A popular ice cream shop located on Federal Hill in Providence will be closing its doors.
Helado Taiyaki announced on social media Wednesday that they would be closing the shop in Rhode Island, and starting anew in Miami, Florida.
“Your support from our opening during COVID through these unprecedented times has been incredible, and we are eternally grateful. While this chapter is ending, we believe it’s time to take a leap of faith and start anew in Miami,” they stated in a Facebook post.
The shop’s last day will be on September 15.
“We are deeply saddened to say goodbye, but sometimes, you need to know when it’s time to walk away. We love you and you will always have a special place in our hearts,” they continued.
Helado Taiyaki will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m.
