Man wanted out of North Carolina arrested at Rumford Inn in East Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man wanted out of North Carolina for several arrest warrants was taken into custody last night at the Rumford Motor Inn in East Providence.

45-year-old London Clyde was arrested as a fugitive of justice on the original charges out of North Carolina for aggravated assault with a firearm and felony delivery/selling of schedule II narcotics.

Police said an alert patrol officer developed information on Clyde staying at the motel.
