Massachusetts State Police arrest man for drug trafficking after crash

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said a man was arrested for cocaine and fentanyl trafficking after a crash in Middleborough on Aug. 8.
25-year-old Djosue Dossantos, of Boston, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug law, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Troopers responded to reports of a rollover crash on Route 495 southbound where the driver may have been ejected.
After interviewing both occupants, they learned neither was ejected or injured, but that the two were inconsistent in their stories, and one allegedly went into the woods.
A search with a K-9 unit found a plastic bag with small bundles of a substance suspected to be fentanyl and crack cocaine near the woods as well as bundles of cash in small amounts.
Dossantos was taken into custody and it was learned his license had been revoked.
The 17-year-old juvenile passenger was released to the custody of their parents and will be summonsed to court for criminal charges at a later date.
