UPDATE: Police searching for suspects in alleged armed carjacking in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) —  Two suspects are on the loose in New Bedford following an alleged carjacking at gunpoint. 

According to officials, the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m.

The car was spotted by patrol, and the suspect led the officers on a vehicle chase, which soon became a pursuit on foot.

Police did loose sight of the suspects, who fled the scene.

New Bedford’s Detective Division is further the investigation into the individual’s identities at this time.
