Suspect charged in death of man in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bristol County District Attorney has confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after the killing of another back on August 4.

Anthony Jalo of New Bedford will be arraigned in New Bedford District Court today on charges of murder in the death of 44-year-old Aaron Britto.

Britto was found shot on Earle Street in the early morning hours between Morna Lounge and Grill and Harmony House, which is a residential addiction treatment center.

Britto was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
