Jamestown Yacht Club hosts Fools’ Rules Regatta

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Jamestown Yacht Club hosted its 46th Fools’ Rules Regatta on Saturday.

Entrants were given two hours to construct vessels from non-marine materials and then race them off of East Ferry Beach.

There were also prizes for first, second, and third place for each ship class, as well as awards including the Karl Smith Most Ingenious Design, the Worst Example of Naval Architecture, and the Frank Newman Judges’ Award.
