UPDATE: 1 firefighter injured after house fire in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews were on scene for a fire on Cottage Street in Pawtucket this morning.

The fire was called in around 3:30 a.m. as a code red.

Residents on the third floor did make it out safely, according to Captain Michael Polacek.

One firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The house is unlivable at this time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
