Man arrested for attempting to bring 9 pounds of marijuana on Providence flight

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man from South Carolina was arrested at T.F. Green International Airport on Tuesday after police said he attempted to board a flight with 9 pounds of marijuana.
According to a release, troopers arrested and charged 25-year-old James Perry of Columbia, South Carolina for Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance.
Perry was being detained by Airport Police after attempting to bring marijuana on his Breeze Airlines flight.
Perry was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then transported to Third Division District Court for his arraignment.
