FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced that a Fall River man has been sentenced today to serve up to 30 years in state prison after being found guilty of child rape and molestation last week.

37-year-old Bryant Rivera was convicted of six counts of aggravated statutory rape and seven counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14.

Officials said Rivera was accused of raping his stepdaughter on multiple occasions between 2012 and 2017, and then raping another female relative in 2020 and 2021.

“The defendant, because of his access, repeatedly molested and raped his one young victim and then molested his another,” District Attorney Quinn said. “These perverted acts of violence will have a grave impact on these victims for the rest of their lives. I commend them for their courage in coming forward and persevering through this process. I hope the lengthy sentence will give them some closure for these traumatic events in their lives and allow them to move forward.”
