UPDATE: Newport police have identified person in incident at City Hall

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Newport police have identified the man involved in an incident at City Hall. 

Police shared images of the man on social media, asking the public’s help in identifying him in an incident that occurred on August 15.

Officials said they have identified the man, and the incident is under investigation.
