West Warwick man and woman arrested on firearms, narcotics charges

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The West Warwick Police Department said a man and woman were arrested for multiple drug and firearm charges.

Julio Rivera and Cecelia Gallucci were charged with five counts of possession with intent to deliver and manufacture narcotics, controlled substance conspiracy, distribution or manufacturing in or near a school, public park, or playground, and child endangerment.

Rivera was also individually charged with five counts of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime, two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a ghost gun, and possession of a stolen firearm, among several other charges.

Police said on Aug. 2 a search warrant for a residence, vehicle, and landscape trailer allegedly used by the two suspects was executed and found fentanyl, cocaine,
crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana in “distribution amounts,” alongside material used for the distribution of narcotics as well as cash.

Police added that the two suspect’s child was in the residence at the time, and was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for a check-up.

An additional search warrant was executed at three storage units on Aug. 9 and allegedly found “distribution amounts” of marijuana along with
other unknown powder substances, as well as five firearms.

In addition, a search warrant was executed at a rental garage in Glocester on Aug. 21 which allegedly found a landscape dump trailer that was stolen out of Massachusetts as well as a large towable mobile home that was reported stolen out of New York.

Rivera and Gallucci are being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions.
