20-year-old man dead after motorcycle crash in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I.  (WLNE) – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened in Woonsocket on Saturday.

Police Chief Thomas Oates told ABC 6 news that a 20-year-old man from North Smithfield died in the crash after hitting a pole.

Oates said that speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The crash took place on Truman Drive and the name of the victim has not been released at this time.
