Two crashes in Lakeville on the same street

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — Two crashes happened in Lakeville yesterday on Bedford Street.

According to officials, the first accident occurred around midnight that involved two vehicles.

Fortunately, there were no significant injuries or need for transportation to the hospital.

Officials said the second one occurred just after noon at the intersection of Kenneth Welch Drive and Bedford Street. 

Firefighters extricated one patient from a vehicle using hydraulic tools. 

The trapped occupant was freed from the vehicle and on the way to the hospital in less the 20 minutes of the first arriving firefighters.

The adult male was transported to St Luke’s Hospital with injuries believed to be not life threatening.

Officials said the operator of the second vehicle was transported to Morton Hospital with minor injuries by an ambulance from Middleborough.
