Police were on scene investigating on Elmwood Avenue around 11:00 a.m. (WLNE)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Police have confirmed that Elmwood Avenue was closed after a report that shots were fired at City Gas & Food Mart.

At this time, details are limited if anyone was taken into custody or if there were any injuries.
