Chilly Night Ahead

We have welcomed a whole new airmass to Southern New England. It has brought dry and comfortable air from the heart of Canada and plenty of sun-filled days. The overnights for the next couple of days will be quite chilly and you could definitely give your air conditioner a break. Under clear skies and little to calm winds, nighttime temperatures will drop quickly and pretty far both tonight and Tuesday night. Low temperatures will be close to 50 in Providence, but will be in the 40s in the outlying areas. Average lows are near 60 for the next couple of days and the record low for Tuesday is 45 from 1967. Sunshine through the day will bring highs into the 70s both Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be a tad milder and still bright and dry.
