Steward to present sale of hospitals at hearing today

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A hearing on the sales of Steward Health Care hospitals is set take place this morning in Houston, Texas.

The bankruptcy hearing was previously scheduled to take place in August, but was pushed back multiple times.

That hearing will review purchase agreements negotiated between Steward Health Care, their lender, and the state.

The hearing will discuss five Steward Health Care hospitals; including Morton Hospital in Taunton and Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.

The hearing will be at 11 a.m.
