Gov. Healey to make announcement on offshore wind

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Governor Maura Healey will hold a press conference related to offshore wind today.

Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rebecca Tepper and Department of Energy Resources Commissioner Elizabeth Mahony will be in attendance.

Currently Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut have been working on offshore wind projects.

New Bedford has been the port for construction, assembly, and deployment of offshore wind turbines.
