Police arrest man after shots fired at Mansfield Hotel

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department said it is conducting an investigation at the Red Roof Inn on Forbes Boulevard after police shot at a suspect.

Officers were called to the hotel for reports of a shots fired incident while officers from another jurisdiction were investigating a suspect for drug activity.

The department said the suspect drove away and an officer fired one shot at the vehicle.

Police said the suspect was detained in North Attleboro and multiple officers received minor injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
