Jenks park playground reopening

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. — The Central Falls community celebrated the reopening of the Jenks Park Playground after one year of renovations.

The new playground features new equipment such as slides, partly due to the Open Space funding from the voter-approved Green Bond in 2022, which preserves open spaces in the state of Rhode Island.

Improvements have been made on Jenks Park Playground over the last decade due to $1 million in funding provided by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.

A 2024 Green Bond is on the ballot this fall.
