SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) has taken in dogs and cats affected by Hurricane Francine in coordination with BISSELL Pet Foundation.

Four dogs and six cats were transported by plane and arrived at TF Green Airport Sunday afternoon.

These animals were transported to Rhode Island to make room in shelters for other pets displaced by the hurricane, and will be available for adoption once they complete the required isolation period.

“Consistent with our mission, ARRI was committed to assisting in any way during this crisis. We know many LA pets have been displaced and need the safety of shelters there,” said Liz Skrobisch, Executive Director at ARRI.

You can inquire about pets available for adoption here.
