VA Providence hosts suicide awareness summit

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — VA Providence said it hosted its 2024 Suicide Awareness Summit on Thursday.

Organizers said the event brought together veterans, healthcare professionals, and community members to focus on suicide prevention.

It featured opening ceremonies from the Coventry High School Honor Guard, remarks from VA Providence Director Lawrence Connell, and a Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk around the VA Providence campus.
