Fall River man charged for 62 counts in mass tire slashing
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River Police Department are on the search for an alleged serial tire slasher.
Liduino Tavares, 40, or Fall River, has been charged with 62 counts of malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
On Sept. 18, officers responded to a report of tire slashing at Mulberry St. and Division St., and shortly after were dispatched to the area of Ridge St. and Cottage St. for another account of tire slashing.
Over the course of the night, 62 vehicles in total had their tires slashed, according to Fall River Police.
Tavares, who was allegedly captured though video surveillance, has been connected to other reports of tire slashing from a previous incident.
Fall River Police said citizens should not intervene with Tavares, and to contact the Fall River Police Department at 508-676-8511 if they have information of his whereabouts.
