Cloudy afternoon with a lovely weekend ahead
Quiet weather locally as we continue to track, what is now, Tropical Storm Helene.
Latest from the National Hurricane Center, Helene is expected to intensify to a major
Hurricane Cat. 3 before making landfall over the Big Bend, FL with life-threatening storm
surge of up to 15′ feet in some spots, up to 8′ in the Tampa Bay area.
The continued onshore flow will keep the cloudiness in the region. Temperatures will
remain cooler than average, in the mid to upper-60s. Not ruling out a spot sprinkle or
light shower in some areas. Tomorrow will feature plenty of cloud cover with temperatures
similar as today, mid to upper-60s. Chance for showers is expected tomorrow night into
Thursday with high around 70. Dry and warmer weather follows through the weekend with
plenty of sunshine and temperatures back to seasonable.
