New Bedford police investigating overnight incident

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Officials in New Bedford are investigating an overnight incident in the city.

Officers removed dozens of evidence markers from the intersection of Matthew and Dartmouth Street after an investigation began around 11 p.m. last night.

ABC6 news crews observed the ground littered with bullet casings.

As of right now, not much is confirmed by New Bedford police, but our overnight crews here saw multiple vehicles with bullet holes being investigated by police, as well as emergency crews on the scene taking people away.

ABC6 news is still waiting for any additional details regarding what caused the scene, if there’s any suspects in custody, and if there were any injuries involved.
