Fall River teen arrested for illegal firearm possession

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said that an 18-year-old was arrested on Sept. 26 for allegedly having a stolen firearm.

Jovanni Rivera was charged with possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, receiving stolen property, and resisting arrest.

Police executed a search warrant Eighteenth Street and found a Sig Sauer p320 pistol that was determined to be stolen via a serial number trace.
