CVS to layoff 2,900 employees
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — CVS is set to layoff 2,900 corporate employees.
According to a representative, the number makes up 1 percent of their workforce.
Front-line jobs in stores, pharmacies, and distribution centers will not be impacted.
The representative said the company has embarked on an “initiative to deliver $2 billion in cost savings by reducing expenses and investing in technologies to enhance how we work.”
