North Attleboro man charged in Roxbury for murder

ROXBURY, Mass. (WLNE) — A North Attleboro man has been charged following a fatal shooting that happened earlier this morning in Roxbury.

27-year-old Widmaer Lapaix has been charged with murder, and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

According to officials, police responded around 1:36 a.m. this morning to call for someone shot at 17 Hammond St.

Upon arrival, police found the victim sustaining what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to police.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating, and is encouraging anyone with information to contact Boston Police 617-343-4470.
