October to be proclaimed as ‘Domestic Violence Awareness Month’ in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — A special proclamation will be made at the Women’s Resource Center, joined by the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, in Newport to raise the issue of domestic violence within Rhode Island.

October will proclaimed as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” today.

Executive Director of the Women’s Resource Center in Newport, Jessica Walsh, joined ABC6 ahead of the event.
